We have been blessed on this whole trip so far, When we reached the Maira’s house they were very hospitable to us, we just came in, talked, ate, and left. We felt so bad for not being able to visit them.
The Raines are a very nice family. I really enjoyed Elias and Emma, (they are both interested and good at photography), and the other kids (Micah, Nathan, Isaac, and Martha) were very fun to meet and enjoyable to get to know. They showed us around the Amish country and the Dad (Mark) made Swedish meatballs and served them over egg noodles. They were really good! After supper they pulled out a birthday cake, I was so surprised. It was a white marble cake with some good store bought frosting.
When the Mello’s called to sing happy birthday to me it the third day in a row that they sang to me. :-) (You all are the best!)
After supper Amanda and Emma played music together. Amanda on her fiddle and Emma on the piano, It reminded me of our evenings around the Fournier’s piano with Amanda and Brian playing. THe boys and I played flashlight tag later that night (Amanda and Emma were still playing), I was it because Mom had just given me a flashlight for my birthday. It poured while we were playing so we came back inside. When the littlest girl and boy went to bed, the Dad Mom and the older kids stayed up with me and we talked about physics and atomic energy, the neutron bomb, and the hydrogen bomb.
This morning when I went upstairs I found some of the kids up and reading in the living room, after I read my bible Elias Emma and I set up a photo shoot with our two flashes and succeeded in capturing a good portrait of Micah (and one alright shot of Elias) before we went to Sight and Sound Theatre to get our tickets. The Theatre was Amazing to walk around in. We went back to the Raines house, ate lunch, and got our stuff into the car. We made it Back to Sight and Sound at about 12:20, picked up our tickets, and went into the show.
The show was amazing, it was better than broadway because it was clean. I really loved the show. If any of you can get to the show, I really would encourage you to do so.
We left straight from the theatre and made our way across PA,. We are in a days in motel in western PA right now. It is late so I am going to go to bed soon.
We miss you all and can't wait to see you again soon.
Pictures to follow.
